Sandy, Josephine, Chelsea, and Hayden UCI 2022 Graduation Portraits | H Mart | Irvine, California
This was one of the most unique graduation portrait sessions that I’ve done to date because we did a part of the shoot at H Mart! Yes, the well-known Korean supermarket. Before this session, I was discussing with Sandy some possible locations to do the grad session. This was the second grad shoot she booked with me. The first one was with a different friend group at the nearby beach. Sandy decided to do a part of the session at H Mart because of their love for Korean food and culture. H Mart is also where they bonded with each other and it reminds them of the time when they all studied abroad in Korea together a few years ago. From speaking with Sandy, I can see how much H Mart means to her, Josephine, Chelsea, and Hayden. It was so much fun taking their grad photos on campus and at H Mart. Yes, we did get a few weird stares, but it was all worth it because these photos turned out great!
I met Sandy when I photographed her sister’s wedding last year (blog post coming soon). It turns out that we both went to the same high school but in different years. We were joking about how I’ve been able to capture all of their family’s milestone events. At this rate, I’m on track to doing just that haha! After graduation, Sandy will be moving to New York to work full-time as a product designer. Congratulations Sandy, Josephine, Chelsea, and Hayden on graduating!
