Brendan & Lauren’s wedding at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia was a meaningful and unforgettable celebration filled with history, elegance, and personal significance. As a Los Angeles wedding photographer, it always means so much to me when clients trust me to document multiple milestones in their lives. Brendan & Lauren have invited me to capture their couples session, proposal, engagement, and now their wedding day.
They chose Santa Anita Park as their wedding venue because of its stunning architecture and deep personal meaning. While I had previously visited the venue for special events like the 626 Night Market, which takes place in the outdoor space, I had no idea how beautiful and historic the interior rooms were until their wedding day. The venue features elegant Art Deco design and a Gatsby-era atmosphere, making it an incredible location for couples seeking timeless and stylish wedding photography with a touch of vintage flair.
Santa Anita Park was especially meaningful to Brendan & Lauren because of their ancestral ties to horses. Hosting their wedding at the historic horse racing track was a beautiful way to honor their family heritage and celebrate their love story in a place that reflects their personal history.
The wedding day also presented some unique logistical challenges, as a major event was happening at the venue at the same time. Their wedding planner, Kristina, coordinated closely with the Santa Anita Park team to ensure the celebration ran smoothly and on schedule. The day would not have been as seamless without her dedication and the support of her husband, who assisted throughout the event.
